Finance Manager

Are you an experienced accounting professional who is looking to join a family owned and run business that has recently started on an exciting growth journey?

Would you like to work for a business which is focused on providing an environment for its team to learn and grow, is passionate about reducing its impact on the environment and takes pride in delivering creative solutions for its customers?

This is a newly created part time role of Finance Manager. Initially 3 days per week, this role would suit someone who is used to working as part of a small close-knit team with a preference to be AAT qualified, although this is desirable rather than expected as experience is taken into consideration for the right candidate.

Are you someone who excels at working in a diverse and hands on role where you take responsibility for every aspect of the finance function of the business, reporting to the Managing Director?

Key aspects of the role are:

• Sales ledger and credit control

• Purchase ledger

• Internal payroll, (working with an external payroll bureau)

• Maintaining the company bookkeeping system including the general ledger and bank accounts, (Xero)

• Updating monthly KPI’s and financial reporting packs

• Participating as part of the operations team

You are someone who thrives on creating and maintaining internal processes and your uncanny ability to anticipate risks and issues, along with your meticulous attention to detail enables you to ensure that customers pay on time, suppliers and the team are paid on time and the Managing Director receives up to date and accurate financial information upon which they can make informed decisions.

We are a team that live and breathe our core values:

Honest – We do what we say we will and by when. We will always do what is in the best interests of others, never offering a solution that we know won’t work or solve a problem. We never shy away from difficult conversations.

Authentic – We bring our skills and experience to bear in every situation; whether with a customer, each other, or external provider. Our approach is always inquisitive, and we truly care about each other and our customers.

Creative – Creativity for us, is much more than just style, colour or design. It’s finding solutions to challenges that no one else has even considered or is able to deliver.

Fun – We believe that business should be fun and enjoyable. We want our team to love coming to work and for our customers to love working with us time and time again.

If this sounds like a role that you can embrace and mould into you own, and the core values really do align with your own values, we would love to hear from you.
